I love solitude and solo travel, and I rarely feel lonely. There’s so much space for thinking, as you say. Looks like we have the same book collection 😆

Hope they are as helpful to you as they are to me!

Kokoro was exactly what I needed, so glad I hadn’t gotten around to it sooner. Not started Wintering yet as I’m reading Braiding Sweetgrass now, but hopefully get to it soon!

My number one indicator of how well I’m doing is how much alone time I get. For me, it’s essential. I’ve got to carve it out any chance I get, which isn’t too many with little guys, so I’m always grateful for the few quiet moments.

Same here. Not much quiet with little ones around, so even more important to get some!

Solitude is absolutely vital for my sanity! I incorporate this by having two days where I work from home and timing these on days when my partner is at the office. I am also a big fan of solo trips, solo cafe dates, beach walks etc. Solitude is an absolute balm to my soul 😊

I LOVE spending time alone and been on several solo trips away.. (even when the kids were quite young - controversial 😉 They do have another parent 🙄😆) You've got some lovely tips there on how to grab just a few minutes when times are busy/chaotic... if I'm at a family event I find myself going to the loo a lot more than normal 🤣

It’s great! Although my family must think I have some kind of digestive issue 🤣
