I don't have the book but did decide to listen to the podcast when I'm on the road. There was an ahhhh shit moment - Brene was speaking about standing still, using boundaries as an example. I was thinking of a continuum but then I pictured the middle of the continuum and two people standing in the exact spot of judgement. I've been sitting with this for a few days.
I love that you’re listening along. There are so many opportunities to stop and reflect to what stops us in our tracks like this did for you. May your reflection lead you forward on the path!
This is a great breakdown of these concepts and lessons. I feel I am constantly navigating these over and over again - but then growth is not a destination - and hopefuly each time I am slightly improving as I go!
I have taken th inventory and have many areas in which to grow 😂
Haven't done the reading but listened to the podcasts and the biggest takeaway for me was a line from Brene about knowing that, when you go to bed each right, whatever you have done or not in the day, you are enough. Definitely something I absolutely need to lean into more.
You’re definitely not alone feeling like “worthiness” is an area for growth. I’ve been working on this area for a few years, and doing this 4-week process made me realize that I still have a lot of room to go. So I started reading Jamie Kern Lima’s book “Worthy” this week as my own way of getting started!
My areas for growth are perfectionism and caring too much what other people think. Ok there are other areas too but these are the main ones. I'm excited about your article about FOPO - which is the first time I'm hearing that word by the way, but I love it 😅
What was your biggest takeaway from this week? I’d love to know!
This is one of my all-time favourite books! And, I’m such a big Brené fan (it helps I’m also a UT and UH alum 😁)!!
Big Brené fan here too!
Ditto 🙌🏻

I’m glad this resonated with you, Catriona. I think we are all navigating our own lessons over and over just as you say.

Hooray for leaning in!

Thanks for the encouragement - and the book note, will look that up! ☺️

You’re in good company with those growth areas! So many people I talk to with demanding careers have the same ones.
